Steven CISAR, numero 2 mondiale, è stato riscontrato positivo al controllo antidoping effettuato al SX di Salt Lake City il 23 settembre scorso.

BMXMANIA.COM pubblica queste sue parole:

"Il 23 settembre di quest'anno al Dew Tour di Salt Lake City, sono risultato positivo al tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), la principale sostanza psicoattiva che si trova nella pianta di cannabis.
Io non vado in cerca di nessuna scusa per le mie azioni, ho fatto una cosa incredibilmente stupida ed irresponsabile.

Desidero esprimere le mie più sincere scuse ai miei sponsor, compagni, avversari, famigliari, amici e tifosi che mi hanno supportato in questi anni. Ho il più grande apprezzamento per le opportunità che mi sono state offerte, il talento che mi ha dato il Signore, e tutto l'aiuto che ho ricevuto.
Posso solo sperare che non mi si giudichi, chi sono o a cosa credo, in base a questa stupida azione. Io credo nel lavorare sodo, gareggiare puliti, nell'integrità e nell'amicizia che condivido con la comunità delle gare.
Più di tutto amo gareggiare con la mia bici.
Nel corso della vita, tutti faremo degli errori. Io ho sicuramente imparato da questo e non rischierò più i miei valori o deluderò ancora i miei tifosi.

I can only hope that I will not be judged by one poor decision, as that is not who I am or what I stand for.
